Job Summary
Develop and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards, lead incident investigations, and coordinate emergency response drills. Provide training on safety protocols and collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records of inspections and liaise with regulatory bodies for timely reporting. This role reports directly to the EHS Manager within the manufacturing industry, requiring a Bachelor's degree and three years of EHS experience in a similar setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of implementing safety programs and conducting risk assessments
- Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks effectively
- Proficient in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees at all levels
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
