1st Shift Enclosure Weld Support

Job Summary
The Enclosure Weld Support role involves using hand, pneumatic and power tools to clean, polish and grind metal components per specifications and quality requirements, with training provided by the Enclosure Weld Lead. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting tags for traceability, maintaining safety and PPE use, operating equipment only after formal training, following safety regulations, moving materials to the paint department, and performing other duties as assigned. Must have exposure to metal fabrication concepts, pass the AWS D1.1 welding test, read blueprints, and be able to lift a range of weights up to 100 pounds with assistance. Onsite position in Seguin, Texas, with benefits and potential bonuses; drug screen and pre-employment physical required. Personal attributes include attention to detail, teamwork, communication, and adaptability to a manufacturing environment with varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a UAI AWS D1.1 welding test
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Must possess ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure and calipers, basic hand tools and air tools
- Must be able to determine material types and gauges
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
