1st shift Electrician - (Commercial)

Job Summary
Install new equipment, run power drops up to 480VAC, and manage facility lighting upkeep while performing general electrical maintenance. Troubleshoot equipment and processes using electrical theory, meters, and schematics to support production and minimize downtime. Execute CAT5 cable runs, install power distribution systems, and bend/run conduit. Assist in operational debugging of machine controllers, motors, and sensors, and train lesser experienced staff. Maintain current schematics and PLC programs by collaborating with controls engineers and automation technicians. Attend technical training as required and pass knowledge to peers. Work directly with the Maintenance Supervisor and report to the director of maintenance for emergency support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 5 – 7 years related experience and/or technical training in Electrical Troubleshooting, Basic Electricity, motors, VFD's and motor controls
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be trained in and accountable for lock out / tag out policies and procedures

- Associate's Degree in electrical/electronics engineering
