Job Summary
CNC Set Up III responsible for machine setup and operation of CNC machines (e.g., HMC, VMC, HTL, VTL, Swiss Screw, multi-axis lathes, transfer machines, robots). Must determine work holding, tool selection, and be capable of extensively editing programs. Will mentor others in machining and maintain strong organizational, math, communication, and computer skills. Requires a high school diploma (or GED) and minimum 4 years of related machining experience. Personal hand tools and measuring instruments are required. Shift: 1st (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), Prairie du Sac, WI; on-site work with potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4-year related machining experience, training or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels
- Mathematical aptitude and ability to perform calculations related to RPM, SFM, IPM/IPR, etc.
- Ability to work in a team environment and mentor others
- Mentor and assist in training of employees
- Willingness to work overtime and possibly weekend shifts
