Execute complex tool and fixture setups on large-scale CNC milling centers, lathes, and multi-axis machines while editing G&M code directly at the controller. Optimize active program paths for high-strength alloys, interpret blueprints to establish precise operational sequences, and conduct precision metrology using specialized measuring tools to ensure part conformance. Collaborate directly with engineering and fabrication teams to troubleshoot variables and resolve setup roadblocks, while maintaining asset care, safety standards, and 5S principles. Required Qualifications
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Residing within a dependable daily commuting radius of the Greater Duluth, MN shop floor
- 2-Year Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in CNC Machining or Machine Tool Technology
- Proven technical mastery executing complex, independent tool/fixture setups
- Controller-level G&M code editing
- Program path optimization
- Operation of large-scale milling centers
- Operation of lathes
- Operation of multi-axis equipment
- Active 5-axis configuration familiarity
- Interpretation of blueprints and GD&T
- Utilization of specialized measuring tools (bore gauges, micrometers, calipers)
- Ability to evaluate tool wear on active runs
- Calculation of cutting parameters
- Troubleshooting unproven program paths on the fly
- Solid, steady work history demonstrating long-term career commitment
- Multi-year tenure with prior employers
- Residing within a comfortable daily driving radius of the Greater Duluth, MN area
