Job Summary

Execute independent tool and fixture setups on large-scale CNC milling centers, lathes, and multi-axis machine tools while editing G&M code directly at the controller to optimize program paths. Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T standards to establish operational sequences, then conduct precision metrology using specialized measuring tools to verify part conformance. Collaborate directly with engineering and fabrication teams to troubleshoot variables and resolve setup roadblocks, while maintaining asset care, safety standards, and 5S principles. This high-autonomy role focuses on low-volume, high-variety technical setups for high-strength industrial builds within a stable, privately held industrial equipment manufacturer in Duluth, MN.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen or Green Card holder residing within a dependable daily commuting radius of the Greater Duluth, MN shop floor
  • 2-Year Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in CNC Machining or Machine Tool Technology
  • Proven technical mastery executing complex, independent tool/fixture setups
  • Controller-level G&M code editing
  • Program path optimization
  • Operation of large-scale milling centers, lathes, and multi-axis equipment
  • Active 5-axis configuration familiarity
  • Interpret Blueprints & GD&T
