Job Summary
Operate CNC Lathe machinery from blueprints, edit programs as needed, and check parts for accuracy against technical drawings. Set up tools and machinery for individual projects while performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identify product defects and collaborate with the QC team to ensure production goals are met. Requires five years of CNC machining experience, knowledge of FANUC controls and 4th axis operation, and proficiency with measuring equipment like calipers and micrometers. Works in a fast-paced machine shop environment where hearing and eye protection are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- CNC machining experience
- Knowledge of FANUC controls
- Able to use measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc.
- Able to read and interpret charts, drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of safety procedures relating to setting up CNC machinery and handling materials
- Ability to interpret, edit, and program efficiently, when required
- Must be able to set up CNC machinery with minimal supervision
- Must be able to follow directions and perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
- Strong communication skills to work as part of a team
- 5 years minimum experience in a related role
- High School Diploma, or GED
- Use of hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes required
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of 4th axis operation, a plus
