Job Summary
Operate coordinate measuring equipment to make precise measurements of First Article and production components using Calypso software. Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and layouts while creating detailed reports for engineering distribution. Liaise with engineering, production staff, and suppliers to troubleshoot technical problems, resolve inspection findings, and recommend product release or corrective actions. Analyze in-process and finished goods samples, identify appropriate gaging, and ensure compliance with safety requirements. Requires 5+ years of CALYPSO programming experience, advanced GD&T knowledge, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. First shift position at Franklin Fueling Systems, a premier manufacturer of petroleum equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years programming experience with CALYPSO or similar CAD-based CMM software
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, fixtures, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T
- Equivalent of four years of high school
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Effectively presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers and/or customers
- Works with mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation
