Job Summary
The Bulk Cheese Handler role packs, cuts, and prepares cheese to meet customer specifications, including de-boxing/unwrapping, weighing, inspecting, and maintaining sanitation. Responsibilities include operating cutters and lifting equipment, loading cheese into machines, packing and sealing trim, reviewing order specifications for quality checks, entering data on production reports, and communicating safety and quality issues to line personnel. The position requires basic math, ability to read production reports, familiarity with GMPs/SOPs, and willingness to rotate across all Bulk lines; SAP experience and teamwork skills are preferred. High School diploma or GED is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
- Ability to read, prepare, and comprehend production reports and worksheets.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Ability to communicate with line personnel regarding information contained therein, and regarding quality and safety issues.
