Job Summary
Biobank Technician I on the first shift (Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm) at Azenta Life Sciences. Register, label, retrieve, and discard irreplaceable biological and production materials while maintaining required temperatures and adhering to SOPs. Operate under GMP/GTP/GLP/GDP, ISO, and CAP standards; utilize the inventory management system with strict chain-of-custody and audit trails. Responsibilities include sample registration, barcode scanning, quality checks, labeling, storage at specified temperatures, packaging for lab services and outbound shipments, discard quality checks, issue investigation/documentation, location reports, and facility upkeep. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of collaborative, detail-oriented work experience; Life Sciences experience and GMP/GTP/CLIA experience are preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret instructions in English; proficiency with Excel and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are also expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience demonstrating teamwork, self-motivation, detail orientation, and professionalism
- Life Sciences experience preferred
- GMP/GTP/CLIA Experience, preferred
