Job Summary
1st Grade Teacher responsible for delivering district-approved curriculum, creating engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities include adapting instruction for students with varying needs, promoting safe and positive classroom environment, communicating with parents and administrators, participating in professional development, and collaborating with colleagues. May supervise activities outside regular classroom hours and participate in extracurriculars. Requires knowledge of current teaching methods, data analysis for student progress, and ability to meet professional education requirements; must hold a valid Indiana teaching license in the applicable subject area and a BA degree in education.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in education
- Current Indiana Teacher’s License, in subject area applicable to teaching assignment.
