Job Summary
Plan and implement a blended learning environment, providing direct and indirect instruction in Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Health, and Mathematics based on state standards; create an inviting, engaging learning environment; assess student progress toward mastery of standards and communicate with parents; collaborate with Special Education staff; manage behavior and participate in staff meetings and school functions; 10-month Elementary School teaching role reporting to the Principal in Baton Rouge, LA; requires a State Teaching License for Grades K-5 or 6 and a Bachelor’s degree with 24 content-area credits; minimum of two years of urban teaching experience and strong technology integration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in content area
- Valid (State) Teaching License for Grades K-5 or 6
- Strong technical skills, particularly in integrating technology in the classroom to drive academic achievement
- Demonstrated volunteer or community service
- Core Knowledge Experience
- Experience with Blended Learning
- At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment
- Delivering a classroom lesson to our students, particularly including the use of technology
