Job Summary
1st Grade Teacher responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction; develop lesson plans aligned with state standards; monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments; create a safe, engaging classroom environment; collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families; utilize instructional technology to enhance learning; and participate in professional development and school initiatives. Strong emphasis on equity, student growth, and engaging, data-informed instruction; bilingual skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Valid Texas teaching certification required in the appropriate content or grade level area
- Strong knowledge of instructional best practices, curriculum standards, and classroom management strategies
- Ability to work effectively with diverse students, families, staff, and community partners
- Strong instructional, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Bilingual skills preferred
