Job Summary
1st grade Self-Contained Teacher at IDEA Najim Academy responsible for delivering rigorous, standards-aligned instruction to K-3 students, implementing IDEA curricula, submitting weekly lesson plans, using formal and informal assessments to monitor progress, and communicating student progress to families weekly. The role emphasizes behavior management, building a positive classroom culture, facilitating technology-enabled instruction, providing tutoring as needed (after-school or Saturday), and participating in regular meetings and professional development to support college readiness for students. Strong content-area proficiency, a Bachelor’s degree, teaching certification, and willingness to pursue TX-required trainings (Reading Academies, ESL/bilingual credentials) are required or strongly preferred. The position requires a minimum of 40+ hours on-site per week in San Antonio, TX. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
- Teaching certification or equivalent content-area proficiency

- Bilingual certification strongly preferred, ESL certification preferred (not required)
