Job Summary
Provides instruction in the elementary classroom for first grade in Cedar Rapids on-site. Develops and implements programming aligned with curriculum standards across content areas, delivers engaging lessons, and supports student achievement. Maintains records and protects confidentiality of data, communicates actively with parents and community, and assists in planning social-emotional/behavioral school-wide programming. Collaborates with the principal, school counselor, staff, parents and students on teaching and learning, adhering to Iowa Teaching Standards and district expectations. Requires Bachelor's degree in Education and Iowa Teaching Certification with endorsement; on-site duties may extend to additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education
- Iowa Teaching Certification with endorsement in content area required
- Endorsements: Elementary Classroom K-6 (required)
- Experience in classroom teaching upper elementary preferred
