Job Summary
1st Class Marine Electrician responsible for installation, repair, and hook-up of shipboard electrical systems (600 V and less) per specifications and drawings. Must troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical equipment, read electrical diagrams/blueprints, and comply with OSHA standards and shipyard safety practices. Duties include running cables, testing internal circuits, inspecting mechanical/electrical connections, installing power/lighting circuits, and applying Lock-out Tag-out procedures. Must be able to work in a shipyard environment with PPE, physical demands, and the ability to work shifts; five years of related electrical experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of related electrical installation and repair experience in a Shipyard.
