Job Summary
Oversee the total operation of the assigned Pump & Pantry location, including all licensed programs and business units. Assist with hiring, discipline, and terminating personnel while ensuring daily operational routines, back office functions, and inventory control are completed accurately. Supervise cash control, bank deposits, and team members following food safety procedures and safe storage practices. Maintain store standards through cleanliness, in-stock conditions, and fast customer service, while addressing personnel, customer, and facility concerns. Support effective scheduling, labor exception management, and adherence to weekly labor budgets. Directly supervise 4 to 16 employees and ensure completion of all required training. Work nights, weekends, holidays, and three second shifts per week to ensure management coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months as Sales Associate
- Valid Food Handler's permit or ServSafe Certification
- Knowledge of operations and maintenance of equipment within the assigned stores
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and company-observed holidays
- Ability to work a minimum of three second shifts per week opposite the General Manager
- Reliable transportation
- Telephone access
- Ability to communicate in English
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Physical attendance at the primary work location
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum on one to three years' experience as an Assistant Manager
- Associated Degree
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
