1st and/or Weekend Shift Production Technician

Job Summary
Production Technician responsible for following work instructions, performing lab testing for conformance to specification, coordinating with the Shift Coach to meet production objectives, ensuring proper biosecurity procedures, maintaining a clean work area and equipment (including forklift operation), performing sanitation and documentation per quality processes, and performing additional duties as assigned in a food manufacturing plant. The role requires adaptability, ability to work independently, basic laboratory testing knowledge, recordkeeping, and the physical ability to handle equipment and materials in a potentially hot, dusty, or cold production environment. Weekend and 1st shift hours are specified.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment
- Previous food industry experience is preferred
- Must be adaptable and flexible
- Ability to communicate and understand expectations for role
- Ability to work independently
- Recordkeeping / documentation skills
- Basic understanding of laboratory testing equipment
- Basic understanding of documentation needed for process
- Ability to speak and write English at a basic level (nonessential)
- Forklifts and other manufacturing equipment handling
- Prolonged standing and physical demands including lifting up to 75+ pounds
- Able to operate and maintain equipment and follow instructions
- Knowledge of GMP and quality processes
