Job Summary
Operate hydraulic and mechanical punch press equipment to blank, punch and form parts. Set-up, adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper angles and radii. Read and work from drawings, specifications, patterns or templates; use gauges to verify dimensions. Sort and package parts per work instructions; verify quantity and quality of material; move raw material as needed. Train less experienced operators in safe set-up and operation techniques; work with others as part of a team; perform basic computer transactions as required. Maintain a clean work area and perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Technical Training or College a plus
- One year minimum experience in press operation
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering work instructions
- Mechanical ability, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Practical knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments
- Possess a good work ethic including following direction and reliability to perform job with limited supervision
- Excellent attendance record
- Must be literate (read & write English) and do basic arithmetic
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly
