Job Summary
Operate a TruLaser (fiber/Co2) to cut various metal stock by reading blueprints, establishing proper stop locations, and adjusting laser beam focal points. Plan sequence of operations, make setups for cutting, and perform prescribed maintenance while monitoring the machine for proper function. Accurately project completion of work orders, detect defective materials, and maintain a clean working environment. Complete assignments on-time with minimal supervision in a fabrication shop setting requiring lifting up to 100lbs and prolonged standing. Minimum 6mo to 1yr experience with laser equipment and ability to interpret drawings and use measuring devices required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6mo to 1 yr. work experience with laser equipment
- Good manual dexterity
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, routers, use simple/basic math
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints
- Must be able to read and understand handheld measuring devices
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs
- Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in industrial manufacturing industry preferred
