High School Social Studies Teacher responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program in a 10-month school-year setting; duties include maintaining an organized classroom, ongoing curriculum evaluation aligned with TN State standards, collaborating with faculty on instructional approaches, delivering curriculum and instruction with emphasis on independent thinking and creative problem solving, supporting student and parent conferences, pursuing ongoing professional development, and adhering to district and state education policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (as required by the State of Tennessee)
- Teacher's certificate with qualifying endorsement area
- FBI/TBI Fingerprint/Background Clearance every five (5) years
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent might find appropriate and acceptable
