Job Summary
Lead curriculum development, implementation, and revision for program materials aligned with TEKS, ELPS, and Texas Educator Standards. Deliver interactive training sessions and provide qualitative feedback on online discussions within 48 hours to support candidate growth. Offer direct coaching to teacher candidates for content mastery and classroom readiness while reviewing courses annually against Quality Matters and Texas Administrative Code standards. Collaborate with department leaders to develop professional learning and serve on committees for instructional material selection. Maintain relationships with campus leaders to support candidates during pre-service field-based experiences. Stay current on K-12 research and trends to enhance instructional strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Texas Teacher Certification
- 5+ years of successful teaching experience in Texas public schools
- 3+ years of experience in instructional leadership or curriculum development
- Experience with instructional technology and Learning Management Systems (Canvas)
- In-depth knowledge of TEKS, ELPS, and Texas Educator Standards
- Strong familiarity with research-based pedagogy and cognitive academic language acquisition
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Texas Principal Certification
- ESL and/or Gifted certification
- Certified T-TESS appraiser
