Store Clerk responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, cash handling, accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating and displaying merchandise, housekeeping inside and outside the store, ensuring store safety and security, and deli food sales and cooking. Duties also cover operating a computerized cash register, giving correct change, scanning cards, accepting checks, bagging merchandise, remembering regular customers, answering phones, screening calls, deterring shoplifters, handling customer complaints, stocking shelves and coolers, completing shift tasks accurately, cleaning and maintaining all areas, completing vendor check-in procedures, following protocol and security controls, sweeping the lot, snow removal, fueling pumps, and maintaining equipment areas.
