Job Summary
Plan, organize, and implement an instructional program in a high school learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential; conduct a highly organized classroom; align curriculum with TN State standards; collaborate with faculty; implement curriculum and instruction with emphasis on independent thinking, creative problem solving, and abstract reasoning; show empathy toward students; proactively resolve issues with students and parents; facilitate parent/student/teacher conferences; continue professional development; adhere to school board and state department policies; perform other related duties as assigned; equal employment opportunity statement included.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Teacher's certificate with qualifying endorsement area
- FBI/TBI Fingerprint/Background Clearance every five (5) years
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent might find appropriate and acceptable
