Job Summary
Test system interfaces, diagnose system problems, and establish workflows for payroll and self-service software. Validate system setups, map data translations, and identify root causes of discrepancies to ensure accurate technical solutions before distribution. Document processes, disseminate information to stakeholders, and provide post-launch support while troubleshooting issues via Jira tickets. Guide clients toward best practices and creative long-term solutions, ensuring successful implementation and transition to production. Coordinate internal resources, manage project timelines, and deliver status reports using internal tools. Maintain confidentiality and work with high attention to detail to support system performance and enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years' experience in the Payroll Service industry preferred
- Demonstrable credentials as a leading Subject Matter Expert
- 2-5 years of experience working in the relevant area of expertise
- Experience in systems administration preferred
- Prior payroll software experience preferred
- Prior HR, benefit administration, tax and accounting knowledge preferred
- The flexibility and willingness to work in excess of standard hours when necessary
- Experience working with Jira or similar ticketing tracking systems
- Knowledge of systems and software engineering to optimally integrate subject expertise
- Exceptional leadership and mentorship abilities to introduce and implement technical solutions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to listen, understand, read, and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in a professional environment
- High attention to detail
- Above average organizational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Able to quickly learn new software systems
- Able to talk at a high level about the various components and the touchpoints between them
- Must be able to occasionally lift and transfer items that are under 50 lbs. in weight
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Concentration/intensity, which includes prolonged mental effort
