Job Summary
Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits and issue receipts, refunds, or change. Greet customers, resolve complaints, answer questions, and provide carry-out service. Count money in cash drawers, reconcile sales totals, and notify managers of discrepancies. Process merchandise returns, stock shelves, mark prices, and perform cleaning duties including windows and parking lots. Bag, box, or wrap merchandise and prepare packages for shipment. Weigh items to determine prices and record all markups, markdowns, and spoilage. Operate within shift hours as assigned by the store manager to achieve sales and profit.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school
- No prior experience necessary
