Job Summary
Assess, enhance, and design security architecture needs at scale in a complex acquisition-driven environment. Review and validate detected vulnerabilities and risks, determine operational impacts of control failures, and develop security statistics and metrics. Respond to security breaches and incidents by supporting less tenured personnel, while communicating business impacts to cyber leadership for remediation. Develop and approve changes to security procedures, apply latest threat trends to prevent risk, and provide input to resiliency and disaster recovery plans. Assist in training and assessment of skill growth for junior staff. Regular on-site attendance is required for secure system access and sensitive collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in related field
- 6+ years equivalent combination of experience in related field
- Strong knowledge of network protocols
- Strong knowledge of operating systems
- Strong knowledge of security technologies
- Strong knowledge of identity security principles
- Working knowledge of Azure\AWS cloud environment configuration
- Experience with endpoint security tooling configuration
- Experience with vulnerability management/remediation
- Foundational understanding of incident response
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with cross-functional groups
- Ability to train and assess less tenured security staff on skills associated with team roles

- Experience as a cyber security engineer, system administrator, or system/cloud engineer
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection software and business systems (i.e. M365/Google)
