Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) needed for full-time night shift (7P–7A, 12x3 nights) at Methodist Charlton Medical Center. Responsibilities include performing respiratory therapeutics and diagnostic procedures (ABG, PFTs, various forms of ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy, airway maintenance), adult and neonatal respiratory care, and interpretation/review of CXR, ABG, and PFT data. Requires proficiency in respiratory assessment and treatment under indirect supervision of medical director; must demonstrate critical thinking and provide patient-focused care across age groups. Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program with BLS, ACLS, and NBRC registration; NRP and PALS to be obtained within 1 year of hire. Texas-licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing. New graduates accepted. Hospital serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster area; Magnet-designated facility with multiple accolades.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- New Graduates accepted
