Job Summary
Certified Respiratory Therapist position requiring collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing per physician orders; perform accurate documentation of interventions and measurements, participate in quality assurance, and support patient experience. Requires Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, BLS, and applicable advanced life support certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) with registry eligibility and anticipated registration within 6 months of hire. Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7 PM–7 AM) in a hospital setting; role emphasizes communication, accountability, professional growth, teamwork, and adherence to hospital standards across respiratory protocol and laboratory duties.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS), NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support where applicable certification - must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience preferred
