Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care to assigned patients in the Neurosurgery Progressive Care Unit using the nursing process. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver age-appropriate care, supervise assigned staff, and ensure accurate medication and IV administration. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while communicating clearly with patients, families, and the team regarding their care plans and educational needs. Adhere to hospital policies, standards, and the nursing process to support the mission of Methodist Health System. Work varying night shifts from 6:45pm to 7:15am.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
