Coordinate shipping and receiving operations by determining transport methods, preparing shipping documents, customs forms, and invoices manually or digitally. Assemble containers and boxes, record contents, pack goods, and apply identification and handling labels. Supervise cargo loading and unloading from trucks or other vehicles, inspecting arrivals against invoices to document shortages or damage. Decompress, encode, and route merchandise to appropriate storage areas while maintaining internal record-keeping systems. Operate forklifts, hand trucks, or similar equipment for moving and storing goods. High school diploma required; warehouse or clerical experience preferred; forklift certification and driver's license may be necessary. Hourly wage ranges from $18 to $25.
