Job Summary
Supervise hourly staff (sales staff, cashiers, stockers, receivers) and assist Store Manager/Assistant Manager in achieving store objectives, including customer service excellence, payroll controls, scheduling, pricing accuracy, inventory preparation, and training of staff in operational disciplines. Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, handling cash deposits, resolving guest complaints, assisting in hiring, ensuring safety and compliance (TABC, OSHA), and maintaining a positive work environment. Requires flexibility with hours, strong leadership, ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds, and ability to manage multiple duties in a fast-paced store setting.
Required Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience or completion of the MIT program
- Retail sales management experience preferred
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Must be able to obtain/maintain valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit or Food Handler/Manager Permit (where applicable)
Additional Requirements
- Must be over the age of 21 to work at Spec's
