Job Summary
Review commercial credit documentation to confirm requirements for issuing, amending, and renewing letters of credit. Examine due diligence items to verify closing conditions, validate critical terms, and prepare settlement statements aligned to fees and cash collateral. Coordinate with internal partners to resolve exceptions, obtain missing items, and track pipeline assignments while managing deadlines. Process closings in designated systems, maintain audit-ready records, and escalate material risks or overdue items appropriately. Maintain strong control discipline through adherence to procedures, approvals, and segregation of duties. Contribute to team projects and continuous improvement efforts as assigned. Full-time, 40-hour office schedule; visa sponsorship not available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of closing commercial real estate transactions, including letters of credit and construction, revolving, or term loan structures
- Minimum 2 years of trade finance or documentary operations experience or comparable banking operations experience with strong controls focus
- Demonstrated ability to interpret commercial loan and real estate documentation and translate requirements into executable closing steps
- Working knowledge of letters of credit workflows and documentation across issuance, amendments, settlements, and closing activities
- Knowledge of real estate collateral and due diligence requirements, including title, insurance, and flood insurance where applicable
- Proven ability to manage multiple transactions concurrently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent track record of accurate, compliant execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, with comfort working across multiple systems
- Work schedules will be full-time in office, on a 40-hour per week schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting bond-enhanced or direct pay letter of credit structures
- Experience with single-bank and multi-bank transaction coordination
- Prior experience partnering closely with legal, risk, compliance, and operations functions to clear closing exceptions
- Familiarity with process improvement, quality assurance routines, and operational reporting
- Bachelor's degree
