Job Summary
Youth Development Leaders (PT) will work under the supervision of the Youth Development Director, Manager, and Coordinators leading activities for children aged 6 months to 14 years in various programs such as Day Camps and After-school Enrichment. Key responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well-being of children, facilitating conflict resolution, implementing positive behavior management procedures, communicating with parents and supervisors, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to the Salvation Army policies. Candidates must be enthusiastic about working with children and possess the ability to engage them in activities, handle emergencies, and follow protocols for child safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Current CPR/First Aid certifications required on first day of work
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must work well and relate well with people
- Must attend staff, child safety, and other trainings as directed
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
