Job Summary
The Instructor (Dance) is responsible for providing instruction in dance to all ages and levels, designing instructional programs, and demonstrating proper techniques. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to teach both beginners and advanced learners. Responsibilities include providing individual developmental guidelines, critiquing participant performances, ensuring safety during classes, and maintaining adherence to organizational policies. Previous teaching experience and proficiency in English are required, as well as a professional demeanor and approach to problem-solving.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
- At least five years of prior experience teaching or working in the area of instruction specified.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with and knowledge of Salvation Army programs and activities preferred.
