Job Summary
12th Grade AP Calculus Teacher responsible for delivering AP Calculus and advanced math content to high school students, implementing state standards and IDEA curricula, delivering rigorous lesson plans, and supporting dual-enrollment opportunities. Responsibilities include delivering content, masterful lesson planning two weeks in advance, conducting formal and informal assessments, tracking student progress, communicating weekly progress with families, maintaining a consistent behavior management system, facilitating a productive classroom culture, hosting tutoring sessions (including after-school and Saturday options), and participating in weekly meetings and school-wide activities. Requires strong content-area proficiency, a Bachelor’s Degree, and K-12 teaching experience; state certification preferred but not required. Expected commitment includes 40+ hours on campus per week, and possible relocation support. The role emphasizes accountability for student outcomes, collaboration within a team, and alignment with IDEA’s mission to help students succeed in college.
