Job Summary
Eddy Covariance Data Curators (up to 3) to join ICOS ETC and FLUXNET, responsible for collecting, organizing, quality checking, processing, and preparing eddy covariance datasets and related metadata. Develop and implement new data-quality tools and workflows; support data submission, metadata management, and data processing; collaborate with data providers and processing centres. Requires proven environmental data management experience and programming skills in Python, R, or MATLAB; PhD or Master’s in a scientific discipline; based at CMCC office in Viterbo, Italy, on a Coordinated and Continuous Collaboration Contract for 12 months; gross annual compensation €30,000–€50,000 with €2,000/year welfare benefits; immigration procedure support and flexible hours provided.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in a scientific discipline
- Proven experience in environmental data management
- Familiarity with eddy covariance data
- Very good command of English
- Basic knowledge of Italian
- Proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB
