Job Summary
The School Psychologist partners with educators, families, and communities to provide consultative, coaching, and collaborative services within educational systems, identifying educational needs in behavioral, social-emotional, academic, and vocational functioning; conducts evaluations and assists in developing and implementing IEPs aligned with state and federal requirements; provides intervention supports and services, and supports MTSS with SDI, co-teaching, and data-driven decision making; ensures compliance with FERPA/HIPAA and IDEA; advocates for learners with disabilities and designs instructional strategies to address individual needs; performs Functional Behavioral Assessments and aids in creating Behavior Intervention Plans, plus professional development for educators and families.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Specialist’s degree in School Psychology with at least 60 graduate semester hours in psychology and education
- Valid Iowa Board of Educational Examiners license with school psychologist endorsement (B-21)
