Job Summary
Manage store operations as the Store Manager's surrogate during absences, including covering open shifts and ensuring compliance with safety, appearance, and security standards. Maintain controls on cash, inventory, and expenses by completing daily bank deposits, end-of-day reports, and fuel reports. Recruit, screen, train, and coach employees while enforcing work schedules and authorizing hires or dismissals with District Manager approval. Order groceries, check vendors, and implement merchandising procedures to optimize stock levels and pricing accuracy. Conduct price surveys, update price books, and address maintenance issues to meet site standards. Work long hours standing for extended periods, utilizing a calculator and computer to drive overall site performance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Ability and willingness to work long and sometimes unusual hours, standing for extended periods
- High school level math competency
- Collaborative work style, able to partner with all personnel to drive overall site performance
- Insurable by company's auto liability insurance carrier
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
