Job Summary
Oversee store operations as the Store Manager's surrogate during absences, managing cash, inventory, and expenses while ensuring compliance with safety and appearance standards. Complete daily end-of-day reports, process bank deposits, and submit fuel reports by morning deadlines. Lead employee recruitment, training, and scheduling, while covering open shifts and conducting price surveys on fuel and competition. Enforce labor guidelines, maintain the expense checkbook, and resolve maintenance or site checklist discrepancies. Work long hours in a collaborative environment, driving sales trends and vendor relations to maximize gross profit.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- High school level math competency
- Ability and willingness to work long and sometimes unusual hours
- Ability and willingness to stand for extended periods
- Collaborative work style
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs from the ground
- Insurable by company's auto liability insurance carrier
- Ability to use a calculator, computer and other business equipment normally found in a c-store
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
