Job Summary
RN - Specialty II position in Pembroke Pines, FL. Responsibilities emphasize critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment. Requires at least 1 year of nursing experience and completion of various pediatric and clinical certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, fetal monitoring) as specified for roles in ICU/ED/PACU/Endo/Tele/OB/MHN and pediatric/ NICU areas. RN Fellowshi ps and 30-day timelines apply for certain certifications; newly licensed RNs must obtain ACLS/PALS within six months. Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of nursing experience required
- ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate for RNs administering chemotherapy
- APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card within 12 months for those RNs administering chemotherapy in pediatric setting
- ACLS required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas
- PALS required for Pediatric areas (except NICU)
- 30 days to obtain PALS if coming from non-pediatric background
- NRP certification required for NICU (or 30 days to obtain if coming from non-NICU background)
- Fetal Monitoring certification through National Credential Center or through AWOHNN (Intermediate or Advanced) for L&D RNs must be completed before end of orientation
- RN Fellowship specialties require 1 year RN work experience (except Refresh to Acute Care track)
- Newly licensed RNs have six months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS
