Job Summary
RN – Specialty II requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. One year of nursing experience required. Certifications for chemotherapy administration include ONCC and APHON; ACLS, PALS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications are required or timeline-bound for various pediatric and NICU roles. RN Fellowship may require prior independent practice and ACLS/BLS. Memorial Healthcare System in Dania Beach, FL is seeking candidates to join their team.
Required Qualifications
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in Florida
- ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate for RNs administering chemotherapy
- APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card within 12 months for RNs administering chemotherapy in pediatric setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for Pediatric areas (NICU EXCEPTED)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU (if RN from non-NICU background) with 30 days to obtain
- Fetal Monitoring Certification through National Credential Center or through AWOHNN (Intermediate/Advanced) for L&D RNs
- RN Fellowship Program requires one year of RN independent practice (not inclusive of nurse orientation)
- RN Fellowship specialties require ACLS and BLS Certifications
- Newly licensed RNs have six months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS
