Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive maintenance on stormwater facilities and vegetation management across diverse customer sites. Prepare herbicides for application, visually inspect conveyance systems, and document functional problems. Operate power equipment including slope mowers, tractors, and chainsaws while safely handling hazardous chemicals and neutralizing spills. Drive trucks to work sites, load materials, and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and machinery. Communicate with customers regarding work scope and timelines, and report hazardous conditions or defective equipment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to travel 50 – 75% by vehicle, with overnight travel throughout territory
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Clear vision, with or without corrective lenses, including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Proficient in using various forms of technology to complete tasks effectively and efficiently
- Must have the ability to sit, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-11 hours a day
- Must have the ability to routinely lift, push, pull, or move equipment of 50 pounds or more
- Must have the ability to withstand exposure to various weather conditions while completing work assignments (rain, heat, humidity, sun, etc.)
- Must have the ability to work around water and walk, stand, and move through diverse types of terrain such as uneven ground and sloped embankments
- Must have the ability to work within confined spaces
- Must be willing to be in close proximity to wildlife such as snakes, stinging insects, spiders, and other species
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of previous work-related skills, knowledge, or experience
- A valid driver's license, good driving record, and the ability to drive company vehicles (DOT commercial motor vehicles)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
- Valid state required herbicide license
- Ability to acquire a TWIC card within 120 days of hire
