Job Summary
Underground Surveyor with Dumas Contracting Ltd. will provide accurate surveying support for underground development, construction, and production activities at the Timmins site. Responsibilities include performing daily underground surveying duties, completing survey work for lateral and vertical development, updating and maintaining project and production blueprints and survey records, distributing survey plans to construction/production personnel, supporting planning meetings with survey data, operating underground and surface vehicles to complete surveying activities, ensuring survey equipment is maintained, and adhering to all safety policies. Requirements include a minimum of 3 years of underground mine surveying experience, proficiency with Deswik and A-Mine software, MS Office tools, Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core, strong organizational and time management skills, ability to read technical drawings, and a solid safety record. The role is contract-based with 12-hour shifts (14/14 rotation) in Timmins, Ontario, Canada, with Canada-wide eligibility and relocation not specified as part of the package, and remuneration of $50.00-$58.75 per hour (annualized to approximately $104,000-$122,200).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of underground mine surveying experience
- Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core is mandatory
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Outlook, Excel, A-Mine, and Deswik software
- Ability to read and interpret mine plans and technical drawings
- Experience working in underground mining environments preferred
