Job Summary
Operate and maintain all line equipment in assigned areas, performing general maintenance, preventive and predictive maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical repairs. Train self and others on mechanical skills, overhauls, and maintenance systems while coaching team members on operational aspects and process controls. Initiate activities to facilitate team approaches for continuous improvement and adjust or repair equipment during operation. Coordinate with mechanics, operators, and supervisors across shifts to ensure maintenance coordination. Requires ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including overtime in a refrigerated food manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have worked as a mechanic
- Have comparable experience
- Be able to demonstrate technical abilities
- Minimum Education of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to work any shift needed
- 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
- Including overtime
- Must be safety and quality oriented
- Willing to work in a team oriented environment
- Willing to work in a fast paced environment
- Willing to work in a refrigerated environment
- Must be able to operate and maintain all equipment in assigned area
- Must be able to train self/others on mechanical skills
- Must be able to train self/others on mechanical repairs

- Must be able to communicate with other mechanics
