Job Summary
Inventory Control Clerk responsible for receiving deliveries from DSD vendors, logging into the computer, verifying invoices and costs, reconciling vendor invoices, auditing contents, and ensuring inventory accuracy. Participates in preventing shrink and damage, maintains organized receiving and storage areas, operates equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, power lifts, etc.), and may perform stocking and pricing duties. Requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills, ability to work early mornings, weekends and holidays, and the physical ability to lift up to ~80 lbs. Maintains compliance with company policies and safety procedures while fostering a positive relationship with vendors and delivering personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to be friendly, courteous, tactful and maintain composure in dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors
- Requires good interpersonal, organizational and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be a team player
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions
- Frequently reaches, lifts, stacks and maneuver objects up to approximately 80 lbs.
- Ability to push and pull fully loaded hand trucks, six-wheel carts and pallet jacks
- Ability to operate related equipment such as power lifts, balers, compactors, cutters, pricing guns and computer equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods and move rapidly; bending, stooping, twist and turn
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and inventory control
- Understanding of product warehousing/storage and seasonal/perishability knowledge
- Experience with receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising, pricing
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends and holidays
- Safety-conscious and accurate work habits
Additional Requirements
- Union and Non-Union: The pay range is $28.15-28.15 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage.
