Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate the Data Center Operators and Technicians to ensure maximum data-center uptime and safe, compliant operation of electrical, cooling, and related infrastructure. Provide training on equipment, PMs, QA, and CFOps procedures; develop and maintain SOPs/MOPs; manage shift assignments, timekeeping, and PTO; analyze operating conditions to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability; support customer installs and ensure SLA adherence; lead process-driven improvements while maintaining budget expectations; and respond to emergencies in a fast-paced data-center environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5+ years in a mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities
- Minimum 2+ years as a foreman, lead, or senior level technician in a critical facility environment
- Certified Electrician preferred in state where assigned
- CPR/First Aid and NFPA70E Certification during employment
- Forklift Certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong supervisory skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with 12kV switchgear, 480/277 and 208/120 V distribution, diesel generator plants up to 2MW, UPS systems, PLC/relay controls, VFD drives
- Knowledge of NFPA electrical, fire, and life safety codes including NEC/NFPA 70E/72/25
- Experience with data center power distribution and management systems
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Ability to conduct capacity, safety, and code compliance assessments
