Job Summary
Dietitian for the Six Nations Diabetes Wellness Program to develop and implement nutrition and diabetes-promotion programs for the Six Nations Community. Responsibilities include delivering current, reliable nutrition information; creating comprehensive nutrition programs promoting healthy lifestyles; educating individuals and groups; ensuring documentation and confidentiality standards; conducting client satisfaction surveys; evaluating programs and reporting to the Clinical Lead Supervisor and Wellbeing leadership. Requires collaboration with Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Council, strong communication and project-management skills, and the ability to work within program administration and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science with experience in community nutrition
- Member or eligible for membership with the Ontario College of Dietitians
- High level of computer skills in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel)
- High level of sensitivity to Native issues
