Build production-quality UI components and interactions in React, TypeScript, and CSS, bridging design and engineering to ensure feasibility from the start. Evolve the design system to compound quality and speed, maintaining a bias toward simplicity for solo business owners with limited time. Judge quality at a high bar to select the best prototypes, translating concepts into real code while championing effortless experiences for non-technical users.
Required Qualifications
- Comfortable in Figma and a code editor
- Strong front-end skills (React, TypeScript, CSS, animation)
- Strong sense of build — an understanding of craft, hierarchy, restraint — and can explain why something works
- Naturally explore multiple directions before converging, and you'd rather show than describe
- Prototype in hours, not days, using AI tools without cutting corners on quality
- A bias toward simplicity and love designing for real people — SMB owners, not power users
- Think in systems and build reusable components, not one-off screens
- Genuinely excited about AI agents and new interaction paradigms, not just AI as a buzzword
