Job Summary
Contracted, remote physician (MD/DO) providing phone-based diabetes education and medical management for Medicare patients within Perry Health’s remote RPM program. Role involves evaluating medical history, lab results, and medication to assess member eligibility and candidacy for the clinical program; potential involvement in clinical escalations and collaboration with RNs, RDs, and Accountability Coaches. Requires multistate medical licensure (at least 3 states), US residency with reliable workspace and internet, and at least 10 hours of weekly availability; compensation includes $40 per completed consult plus $30/hour for non-clinical time, with an average target around $120/hour. Spanish language ability strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Valid, unencumbered state medical license
- Active licensure in at least 3 of: AL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MS, NC, OH, TN
- Minimum 3+ years of experience managing patients with diabetes
- Familiarity with CGMs and behavior change theory is a plus
- Spanish-speaking highly preferred
